These blokes have been around since about 1907. They were right in there as early players in the 35mm and 16mm movie equipment market. They really were pioneers in areas such as optical, electronic instrumentation and micrographics and business equipment.

In 1973 Bell & Howell bought out its Australian distributor and soon became one of the the premier Audio Visual companys in Australia .

In 1987 there was a management buyout of the Audio Visual Division. This saw the birth of B&H Australia. It started with only 5 employees but was again an Australian owned and operated Company.

In 1990 B&H New Zealand was formed and now has offices in 3 cities.

In 2000 B&H Australia purchased Electrosonic Systems Australia.

It currently employs about 70 staff with offices Australia wide, and through the partnership with B&H New Zealand, a further 12 staff and offices throughout the North & South Islands.
