Established in 1966 as Nova Sound, manufacturing instrument amplifiers and small public address systems under the label “STRAUSS”. They developed a good reputation for setting industry standards in equipment, quality and service.

The late 60’s and early 70’s Nova Sound expanded it’s operations to the manufacture and hire of Public Address Systems. Many years of research and development bought on the birth of the legendary Nova NC4 speaker system, a world leader and one of the first composite speaker systems, ideal for ground stacking or flying. Through the 80’s Nova equipment (speaker systems, drive, amplification, consoles, etc) was the preferred item on the majority of Australias top touring artistes equipment specifications.

With the name change to Nova Hire, whilst retaining Nova Sound’s expertise and dedication to high quality equipment and service, the new Nova Hire augmented it’s already extensive equipment inventory with high profile brands. Nova Hire has also taken a step towards the audio visual market with the aim of providing high quality equipment and service at honest affordable rates.

Nova Hire can facilitate an event from a powered speaker cabinet with a microphone to a full concert or audio visual production.
