A popular tour manager (who shall remain nameless), was a bit keen on passing secret messages to his buddies. One day, on of the messages was inadvertently intercepted by security staff who, in light of all the terrorism threats, redirected it to person in charge of the security office.
The security office manager opened the letter and it appeared to contain a single line of
coded message: 370HSSV-0773H
He was baffled, so he emailed it to the Police. The Police had no clue either, so they sent it to ASIO.
No one could solve it at ASIO so they called in help from overseas in the form of the CIA and
NSA in the States.
With no clue as to its meaning they eventually asked Britain 's
MI-6 for help. Within a minute MI-6 cabled back to Australia with this
reply:
"Tell the stupid bastards they're holding the message upside down."
