Michael (I'll miss you) Jago |
 |
Effective March 1st 2009, Michael Jago, General Manager of Behringer Australia, has accepted the challenge of learning German.
His strong desire to enhance his guttural capabilities is due in large part to his acceptance of the new role at Behringer in Europe, where he will assume the position as VP Sales.
As a founding member of the Behringer Australia team and General Manager since 2002, Michael is pleased to be able to pass on the reigns to another long-time team member; Gary Compson - Acting General Manager and unofficial Pom of the group.
“While excited by this new challenge, I am sad to leave the Australian market”, stated Michael (What?). |
He then continued his politically correct statement with “I’m confident that this team will continue
to provide an excellent sales service to all in my absence.”
Gary has been with the team since 2005 and is also looking forward to his challenge. He replied to Michael's comment with an equally flattering remark, “We have a really tight operation in Australia, and on behalf of my team, will promise to maintain the high standards set by Michael over the past 7 years”.
Michael and Gary will be in contact with as many of you as possible during the remaining days in February and the team will do their utmost to make this a seamless transition for
everyone.
Michael will be gone for at least three years. Initially based in the German office at Willich but from there (about June) he thinks he will most likely settle in Luxembourg and drag the family over to settle down. His email address remains the same, so anybody wanting to catch up with him should find it fairly easy (or just call the Aust office).
It's only a rumour (started by us) that he is willing to provide loads of German beer plus those big round snags along with "Oom Pa Pa" music and a happy heißen Hintern Frau to anybody who chooses to visit him in Europe. |
