Entertainment Installations, the West Gosford, NSW-based professional audio and lighting company, has just added three more Yamaha digital mixers to its already extensive digital mixer inventory. In November 2008, the company took delivery of PM5D-RH V2, M7CL-48 and LS9-32 digital mixing consoles to further expand its live production capacity.
“The additional consoles were purchased due to the high demand for Yamaha digital in our touring department,” says Neale Mace, Managing Director of Entertainment Installations.
Having already followed its initial Yamaha M7CL-48 console purchase in 2006 with an investment in Yamaha’s mainstay PM5D-RH console in 2007, Entertainment Installations has now more than doubled its Yamaha digital mixing capability for live events and concert tours.
"They seem to be on almost all of the riders we receive,” adds Mace, noting that the investment in Yamaha digital mixers was the ideal move to position the company for future growth.
Entertainment Installations now has a total of two Yamaha PM5D-RH V2 consoles, two Yamaha M7CL-48 consoles and one Yamaha LS9-32 in its production inventory, enabling the company to fulfil a broad range of live sound reinforcement applications.
Yamaha Commercial Audio has recently welcomed Entertainment Installations as one of its newest Commercial Audio dealers, servicing New South Wales’ thriving Central Coast region.
In 2008, Entertainment Installations undertook live production duties for such acts as Millencolin, Grinspoon, The Whitlams, Meshuggah, The Bangles and Shannon Noll as well as the Soundwave outdoor festival. For the recent Sebastian Bach tour, the company employed one PM5D-RH V2 console at FOH and another on foldback.
The PM5D-RH V2 is an upgraded version of Yamaha’s highly successful PM5D-RH digital mixing console. The V2 delivers a wealth of additional features including Virtual Soundcheck, Read-Only Scenes and built-in Add-On Effects, and enables system scalability via the optional DSP5D rackmount digital mixing system. In all, the PM5D-RH V2 adds over 30 new features based on feedback from Yamaha’s extensive customer base.
