One of Sydney's most iconic venues - the Piccadilly Hotel in the heart of Kings Cross has undergone a transformation in recent weeks, reopening its doors as SOHO.

Interior Designer Patrica Bondin worked closely with Intergrator and Project Manager Dave to design a nightclub space that revolved around changing scenes and textures, utilising color-changing LED lighting. "The design consisted of over 100 tri color mr16 format LED's, about 30mtr of LED strip and 40 odd
Sputniks.

The lighting over the dance floor consists of 40 Sputniks to
create colour, pattern and movement, with the balance installed in the
level 1 bar and in the toilet foyer", DJW Projects manager Dave Coxon
comments on the Sputnik. "They really are a cool little fixture, for
their price point I could not find a better mover. It enabled me to
use a lot of fixtures in a small area with a low roof, this created a
far more powerful effect than a couple of big fixtures would have for
the same price".
