Not a deal - just an overdone "thank you" for the loan of a pencil.
We previously mentioned a secret German meeting of industry types and the link to a "Pencil" agreement. Nobody was saying anything at the time but now we have the answers.
First of all, let us please make clear that there was some confusion with the earlier report. Neither Stephen Richards (the secret spy) nor Tony Hosking (the facilitator) were actually directly involved in the "Pencil" agreement. Both were drawn into the proceedings as accomplices only.
Stephen Richards just loaned them his internet connection (which is why we were confused when the email came in) and Tony Hosking supplied the pencil (what the hell would he have been doing with a pencil in his pocket?).
The real fact of the matter is that, a couple of the crew from NAS were overseas to sign an agreement signaling that they have been appointed exclusive distributor for the Cloud range of products for Australia & NZ.
That was it. A mix mash of information to let us know that Bose were no longer the agent for Cloud Electronics and that NAS were the new agents thus adding Cloud to a stable that includes Bosch, Chiayo, Listen, Soundtube and many others.
So the bottom line is that all you Cloud Dealers should now get in touch with NAS and start working on your new plan for selling and installing the stuff.
One big benefit for all of you is that Cloud have now reinforced its brand value by extending the standard warranty period on all new products from one to five years. Oh that and the fact that you can claim your Gearplus discount on your first order (maybe - well give it go anyway).
