Ian began his career in the industry back in about 1972. He started out as a tech where he spent many years repairing Hi-Fi equipment and performing authorized “Under Warranty” work on most major international brands. This start gave him a clear picture of what worked and what did not.
He has been involved in a number of positions in the Hi-Fi retail industry, including Chelsound Electronics, Link speakers and a 26 year stint at the Contemporary Sound Centre in Hawthorn.
Ian is now the head designer for Redgum Audio where he has developed a reputation for giving clear, straightforward advice, unswayed by fads and hype. Plus he's just an easy going interesting guy to talk to. |
