Nasty things keyloggers. They are devious little programs that sneak into your computer, sent by underhanded types who want to capture your private information. They record every keyboard stroke you make, then they email this list of keystrokes to crooked types who filter the data, normally looking for things like internet bank details, passwords, etc. Some of the "less dangerous" ones just monitor your keystrokes to build databases of patterns of behavior and usage. What ever they are looking for, they are invasive and very dangerous.
Solution?
One small way of making it harder for these keyloggers to actively collect data, although a bit slow and cumbersome, is reasonably simple.
Go to Start, Run and type "osk"
This will bring up the windows onscreen keyboard. It's slow and a bit of a pain to use but, it does make it much harder for sneaky types to know what you are typing.
Not that anything is perfect but if used in conjunction with normal safety procedures (firewalls, virus checkers and antispyware), this is an easy way to reduce the possibility of someone getting your personal details, especially when doing online banking.
