The biggest blunder most audio people make is to ignore all advice about wearing hearing protection. They feel it is only a small detail and are forever promising themselves that "We will definitely remember to wear hearing protection on the next gig ".

It's a bit like a fat person always saying they will start the diet next week. It never happens.

We have come to the conclusion that complacency in this area is largely because a number of people in the industry are slightly ill informed as to what some of the real dangers are with their hearing, so we decided to not only list a few but also explain them in a way that audio people will understand.
