Reality shows have spawned an entire industry funded by young people and various empty heads who are obviously not in charge of paying the phone bills. This is a billion dollar rip-off that is growing dramatically. So called interactive entertainment. What bullshit.
Interactive entertainment is when you are face to face with an entertainer and/or being involved with the action going on at the time. Interactive entertainment is when you can become a part of the whole experience whether that be verbally or physically. It is not pushing digits on the telephone. Lets face it, the average street performer has more interaction ability than a reality show. That is of course unless he asks you to rush off and dial in your vote on his performance.
Lets hope that people come to their senses and quickly because this new scourge is undermining everything that is real and true in entertainment. But worst of all, it is taking away employment from what was historically the entertainment industry.
Stopping "reality" is easy. Just put a ban on your telephone for any such rubbish. It's simple economics. Stop the funding and you stop the show. So, pull the plug out of the wall if you have to, but do it quickly, because aside from turning our kids into zombies, it's killing our source of employment.
