Rod Stewart faux pas

Couldn't believe it. Sitting watching the tele the other night and on comes this ad for Rod Stewart. Buy a CD for mothers day it says. And then it continues with the line........

"Doesn't your mother deserve a bit of Rod this winter".

The innuendo was a bit in your face. Don't these people listen to their own material. Surely there was more than one person involved in the making of this commercial. Or do they just think that a small amount of crass humor would put them in the Gear Plus league. Not on your life buddies. It takes a lot lower class of mirth to get you anywhere near our standard. So just tuck your tattered, ageing albums and fade off into the distance.
